Willie Wilder, affectionately known as "Red" or "Redman," was a faithful and devoted husband and father. He was born June 9, 1938 to the late O.V. Wilder and Carrie Leflore Wilder in Carthage, MS.  After the death of his mother, Willie resided with his sister, Mary Callahan, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until he completed his honorable service with the United States Coast Guard.  He married the love of his life, Mrs. Eleanor Davis Wilder. He resided in Cleveland, MS until his passing.

After his military service, he worked as a Master Carpenter with Cleveland Lumber Company.  Mr. Wilder was well respected by the citizens of Cleveland, MS.  He was a moral, loyal, and loving friend in his community, but most of all he was a great father and hero to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was a respectful member of United Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Sammie Rash, where he remained a member until his passing.

Mr. Wilder was preceded in death by his parents, O.V. And Carrie Leflore Wilder; his wife, Eleanor Davis Wilder; his son, Willie Joe Wilder; one granddaughter, Kimberly Hutton; one son-n- law, Mack Hutton; five brothers: Herman Wilder, Rufus Wilder, John Henry Wilder, Olee Wilder, and Nace Wilder; and four sisters: R.V. Wilder, Ora Wilder, Fonnie Austin, and Mary Callahan.

He leaves to cherish three daughters: Jacqueline Wilder Hutton of Renova, MS, Anjanette Wilder Hawkins of Clarksdale, MS, and Ericka Wilder of Cleveland, MS; three brothers: Sherman Wilder (Meldera) of Tacoma, Washington, Larry Wilder and Robert Williams (Debra) both of Carthage, MS; five sisters: Debra Scott and Bridget Wilder of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Vernesta Murrell (Demone), Brenda Johnson (Howard), Martha May (Larry) all of Carthage, MS; 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
